HELPING RIDGE RESIDENTS MAINTAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE

Our Goal
To provide healthful, delicious, affordable meals to Ridge residents who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Meals are available on a short or long term basis.

Eligibility
Meals on Wheels is available to any person who does not have access to adequate nutrition, due to either a personal health problem or caring for another person.

Meals
All meals consist of a hot entree, vegetable and a starch. The cold tray consists of a salad, dessert and bread. A choice of beverage is included. We offer four diet types: General, Low Fat/Low Sodium, Diabetic and Soft. Vegetarian entrees are available All meals are prepared in the nutritional services department at Feather River Hospital.

Delivery
Meals are delivered to your home by volunteers between 11:45am and 1:00pm. Both five-day meal programs and seven-day meal programs are available.

Cost
Each meal costs $4.65
A five-day meal program costs $23.25
A seven-day meal program costs $32.55
