Caring
and Nurturing Environment
When I first started working at
Feather River Hospital two and a half years ago everyone was very helpful
and happy to have me as part of their team. This
was
a big plus, because as a nursing student we all have heard “beware of
those nurses/hospitals that eat their young.” Feather River Hospital
is not like
that.
It’s a place where
you are accepted and treated as a professional from the very beginning. Today,
I am a charge nurse and credit my success to
the caring and nurturing environment at Feather River Hospital. I would encourage
anyone interested in pursing a career in nursing to give Feather River Hospital
a chance. There is a new graduate program to help those just starting
out. The preceptors who take on this responsibility do so because they enjoy
working with new graduates. - Erin Anderson
Transition
Made Easy
When I first started working at the Medical Records Department in
1997 I felt
welcomed from day one. I received
a lot of support from my colleagues, manager
and administration. They have encouraged and support my career goals and I
have recently finished nursing school. Upon graduating I was welcomed with
open arms. Feather River Hospital made my transition from clerical staff to
nursing
staff easy. The new graduate program
allowed me to comfortably transition into my new career.
The teams I worked
with have provided me with the essential tools needed to excel, while being
supportive. Feather River Hospital is committed to treating the whole person,
not just the illness. Our work is inspired by Jesus Christ, his healing touch
and love
for all. I have made lasting friendships here. This is a great team! Everyday
I come to work knowing that my goal is to care for the needs of every patient,
visitor and guest. That’s what makes our hospital great! - Dawn Muir
