Laboratory Services
The Feather River Hospital Laboratory provides services to Paradise and the surrounding communities. The laboratory offers full service for inpatient, outpatient, and physician office referrals. Courier service is available for physician office specimen pick up Monday through Friday. House calls are available for homebound patients by physician order. Feather River Hospital has four locations for specimen collection and no appointment is necessary.

If you are required to “FAST” for testing, then do not eat or drink anything except water for 12 hours before your lab test. Take medication as directed by your physician.
Feather River Hospital bills insurances and is contracted with most.* For the uninsured / cash pay patient a discount can be requested. Payment plans are available.
Diagnostic testing is done 24 hours a day with results available to the physician by mail, fax, or internet. Most routine testing is done within the same day service and STAT testing is available by request. Feather River Hospital Laboratory has services with Associated Regional and University Pathology, U. S. Labs, and Prometheus for specialty testing. The Laboratory also contracts with Pathology Sciences Medical Group for Histology, Cytology and Anatomical Pathology.
