Lifestyle Medicine

The Lifestyle Medicine Department at Feather River Hospital promotes the use of lifestyle interventions in the treatment and management of disease. Such interventions include diet, exercise, stress management, smoking cessation, and a variety of other non-drug modalities.

It is common knowledge that prevention is better than a cure, and it becomes increasingly evident that the best solution to our health care needs is people taking ownership for their own health. Our focus is to help them make wise choices in lifestyle practices to prevent or reverse existing degenerative diseases.

Cannabis for Pain Relief

Cannabis has been gaining recognition as an effective option for pain management, offering relief for people with chronic pain, arthritis, migraines, and more. The compounds in cannabis, particularly THC and CBD, interact with the body's endocannabinoid system to reduce pain signals and inflammation naturally. By working with a reputable cannabis seed bank, patients and healthcare providers can access specific strains known for their pain-relieving properties, allowing for a tailored approach to pain management. With ongoing research and patient success stories, cannabis continues to prove itself as a valuable alternative for those seeking safe, natural pain relief.
