Volunteer Opportunities

Junior Volunteer Program

Feather River Hospital accepts 14-18 year old students who are committed to making a difference in our community. Junior Volunteers are required to commit to 100 hours of service a year. We do not accept Junior Volunteers who need to fulfill their required community service unless they have been a volunteer for at least one year at our hospital.

Juniors can volunteer in the following areas:

• Courtesy Desk in Main Lobby (Saturdays & Sundays; Monday-Thursday 4-6pm)
• Gift Shop (shifts available after school and on Sundays)
• Medical Unit (shifts available after school)
• Thrift Shop (open until 8pm on Thursdays and 12-4pm on Sundays)

Junior Volunteers must participate in the same application and orientation process as the adult volunteers; however, augmented General Orientation times may be available to accommodate school schedules.

• Staffed by over 160 physicians, 1,000 employees and 290 volunteers
