Cardiac Rehabilitation is a program designed to help slow the progress of heart disease and for some people, to reverse it.
Rehabilitation begins for the patient after the cardiac event and continues when the patient goes home from the hospital. Rehabilitation includes a 12-week outpatient education and treatment program. Patients focus on regular physical activity, heart-healthy diet, and stress management. Feather River Hospital's cardiac rehabilitation program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
