President's Message

Wayne FerchMore than fifty years ago, four physicians worked together to make their unique vision a reality — a community hospital that would do more than care for the physical needs of their patients. It was their intention to provide a healing atmosphere that would encompass all the various aspects of health and well-being, including sunshine, fresh air, healthy diet, and much more. These dedicated physicians were laying the foundation for Feather River Hospital.

Today, our concept of caring for the whole person has not changed. We are here to serve this community by providing the highest quality health care services available, through advanced technology, dedicated and knowledgeable physicians, a caring and compassionate staff, and through a belief in the spiritual nature of healing. Our mission to serve others as Jesus Christ did is powerfully demonstrated each and every day in our hospital.

Our patients experience the difference when they come through our doors. Our employees feel the difference in the way they interact with each other. Our physicians appreciate being a part of this difference. And, our volunteers are encouraged by the difference and support it through their donation of time and efforts every day.

Feather River Hospital is pleased to be a part of this community, and to continue this visionary approach to healthcare services. Our growth in new programs in the past few years has resulted from carefully evaluating the needs of this community and searching for the most appropriate ways to meet those needs. As we look to the future, we will continue to seek innovative ways to deliver health care, recruit highly qualified physicians to practice here, and develop new services, all designed to meet your needs.
