Brighter Days

The Feather River Cancer Center is hosting Dr. Donald Richey M.D., North Valley Dermatology Center, and his Brighter Days program. The Brighter Days program is held on the first Wednesday of each month at 1:00 pm at the Feather River Cancer Center Conference Room. Participants are provided with a skin evaluation and complimentary full size products to help relieve the problems associated with chemotherapy and radiation. “It is our pleasure to serve you and our hope is that we can assist you in making your life more comfortable in even the small ways” says Dr. Richey. Sharing the Journey Support Group

Open to all cancer patients, caregivers & family members. The support group meets every second and fourth Tuesday of the month in the Cancer Center Board Room from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. For more information about this program, please contact Kate McDonald at 876-7995 ext. 4523.

Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group

This faith-based support group is open to all breast cancer survivors. The group meets every first Thursday of the month in the Cancer Center Board Room at 1:00 p.m. For information about this support group, call 876-7995 ext. 7102.

Look Good Feel Better

This American Cancer Society sponsored program, is an opportunity for cancer patients to learn about ways that they can use wigs, wraps, and makeup to help make their life changing experience more manageable. Volunteer cosmetologists provide personalized instruction and complimentary products. For information on upcoming classes contact the American Cancer Society, 1-800-ACS-2345.

Lymphoma Support Group

This support group will be led by a Registered Nurse and a social worker. The group meets every third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the Feather River Cancer Center Board Room. Please call 876-3144 for more information.

Moments of Peace - A Survivor’s Bible Study Group

Introducing a monthly bible study for survivors where your perspective and experience is shared by other survivors. Experience a grace based hour of study hosted by Chaplain La Freeda Thomas. The Moments of Peace Bible Study meets every first Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in the Cancer Center Board Room. Man to Man

A men’s cancer education and support group meets every second Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at Feather River Hospital, 5734 Canyon View Dr., Paradise. Reservations are made through the American Cancer Society by calling 530-342-4567 (Option 3) .
