Parking & Access During Construction

During the construction project, pedestrian access to the Emergency Department will be re-routed. We encourage patients and visitors not accessing the ED to try to use the main entrance, or other points of entry as appropriate. When making an appointment for services, ask if there is an alternate location for your specific need. Feather River Hospital has numerous other locations for many basic services and procedures in Paradise, Magalia and Chico. If your service is only provided at the hospital, ask us how you can best enter our facility and we’ll be glad to give you specific directions.

Parking near the Emergency Department entrance will also be severely limited. Several parking areas on the main hospital campus are being re-designated for patients and visitors only, which will help us to ensure the convenience and safety of our patients.

The illustration above shows yellow parking areas that are being reserved for patients and visitors, while the green parking areas are open for employees and volunteers. The green areas shown may also be used by patients and visitors, if designated patient and visitor areas are already full.

Courtesy Cart service will be adjusted to accommodate the needs of patients and visitors who may need assistance in getting to the appropriate entrance to the hospital after parking. Cart drivers will patrol the parking lots on a rotating basis throughout the day to provide rides from the parking areas to the various hospital entrances, and will be provided from 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
