Cancer Center Physicians

Feather River Hospital’s Cancer Center physicians are highly trained, offering the most current treatments available. All three of these physicians are Board Certified.

Sam Mazj, M.D.

Dr. Sam Mazj trained at New York Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical College, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, North Shore University Hospital, NYU School of Medicine and Stanford University Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Medical Oncology-Hematology, Internal Medicine and Bone Marrow Transplantation. Dr. Mazj is the Medical Director for Medical Oncology.

 

Edna K Salinas, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Edna K. Salinas graduated from the Medical College of Pennsylvania & Drexel University, and completed her residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Salinas offers the latest techniques in Hematology and Medical Oncology. You may see her with her 4-legged assistant Shelby, a therapy dog, when you visit our cancer center.

 

Steven A. Wahlen, M.D.

Dr. Steven A. Wahlen, board certified by the American Board of Radiology, is the Medical Director for Radiation Oncology. Dr. Wahlen is now practicing full-time at the Feather River Hospital Cancer Center. He graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency program. Dr. Wahlen has been in practice for 16 years and since 2002, he has been practicing with the Chico North Valley Radiation Oncology Group. He is accepting new patients at the Feather River Hospital Cancer Center at 5629 Canyon View Dr.
